Counselling Committee (MCC), will probably
start UG Counselling 2024 tentatively in the
first week of October 2024 and the exam will
be held on the 17th of July 2024. The
counselling for NEET 2024 will be conducted
online by the Directorate General Health of
National Science.

NEET 2024 Counselling Process Steps:
The NEET counselling process is conducted online and involves multiple rounds for allocating MBBS, BDS, Ayush and BVSc seats. Here's a breakdown of the typical steps:
Eligibility:
You must qualify for NEET 2024 with the minimum marks required for your category:
General: 50%
Reserved (including Physically Handicapped): 40%
Unreserved Physically Handicapped: 45%
Registration (conducted by MCC):
New User Registration: Register on the MCC website (https://mcc.nic.in/) using your NEET roll number, registration number, name, and date of birth. Pay the registration and security fees online.
Personal Details: Submit additional details like parent's names, address, and category information.
Choice Filling:
Login to your registered account on the MCC portal.
Fill in your college and course preferences in order of priority. You can add, edit, or delete choices as needed.
Seat Allotment:
MCC conducts seat allotment based on your NEET rank, category, preferences, and seat availability.
You can view your provisional seat allotment on the MCC website.
Reporting and Upgradation (Optional):
If you are happy with the allotted seat, you need to report to the allotted college for document verification and admission formalities. This might involve paying fees.
If you wish to participate in further rounds for a better seat (upgradation), you can choose to do so during the specified window.
Further Rounds (if applicable):
There might be multiple rounds of counselling (exact number depends on MCC):
Round 1 & 2: Initial rounds for filling seats based on All India Quota (AIQ) and participating institutes.
Mop-Up Round: Focuses on filling vacant seats in deemed universities, Central Universities, and ESIC colleges.
After these rounds, unfilled AIQ seats are returned to respective states.
State Quota Counselling:
Individual states conduct their own counselling rounds to fill their state quota seats using their own procedures.
Stray Vacancy Rounds (if applicable):
Some institutes might hold additional rounds to fill any remaining vacant seats after the mop-up round and state counselling.
